Give Federal employees a paid day off Wednesday, December 24, 2014 (Christmas Eve) or Friday, December 26th 2014.

Created by M.P. on October 11, 2014

Federal employees sacrifice our families and our selves to pay it forward all year long to society in many different ways. During the Combined Federal Campaign,we not only complete our duties for the people but also give back to dozens of charities all across America.
To give Federal employees a day off would show that the Obama administration knows the true meaning of paying it forward and would also improve the morale in the federal workforce.
In the past, President Obama provided a half-day off on Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24, 2009. President George W. Bush provided several full days off the day before or after Christmas: Tuesday, December 24, 2001, Thursday, December 26, 2003, Thursday, December 26, 2008.

We urge President Obama to issue an executive order on this issue.
