This has been a very tough year for our government. Federal Employees have been affected by the Government Shutdown and it has placed lots of government employees in financial hardship.
It would demonstrate a great moral effort if the Executive Branch approved for government employees to have an additional holiday off before or after Christmas day. It sends a message that they are cared for in a special way. Extra time spent with family by getting together and visiting grandma or having the time to have a good family dinner make all the difference in work ethic and dedication toward the government.
Family is the bond that keeps one grounded and connected to greater things. Overall, love for family is what God has intended and it is the very element that makes us a great nation.
