Give Federal Recognition to the Winnemem Wintu Native American Tribe of California.

The Winnemum Wintu tribe resides in Shasta County, California along the McCloud River, which has recently been cultivated to create the Shasta Dam. This dam has flooded far too many of the Winnemum's sacred sites. On top of that, the tribe now gets noisy boaters and outside visitors rudely and crudely disrupting their sacred ceremonies. They cannot stop these abominations from happening because they are not recognized by the feds as Native Americans, which also means that they cannot receive benefits from acts such as the American Indian Religious Freedoms Act, which would prevent such disruptions during their religious ceremonies. With the Shasta Dam about to flood even more sacred sites, it is important to recognize the Winnemum as a tribe and protect their sacred land before it's lost.
