It has taken 5 years for the Army to finally award those injured in the Fort Hood shootings a purple heart. However, they have not awarded them the associated benefits and back pay citing amongst other things "their injuries were not associated with combat!" People died, 47 injured by a fellow army soldier psychiatrist claiming Jihad.
This was not combat? This is an insult to the American people and our serving military members. Give the Fort Hood Purple Heart recipients their due benefits and back pay!
