Assistant U.S. Attorneys (AUSAs) receive less pay than DOJ attorneys who sit in Washington, D.C. Even though the attorneys do the same work in all material respects---defending the government in lawsuits, bringing criminal prosecutions, and filing civil complaints---they are placed on different pay scales (Administratively Determined Pay Scale vs. General Schedule). Please sign this petition to encourage the government to eliminate this pay disparity by placing AUSAs on the GS pay scale alongside their DOJ counterparts.
