Military reservist servicemembers are required to do 2-week trainings called "Annual Tours". During my Annual Tour this year, I went to the Emergency Room at a civilian hospital - it turns out that I was NOT insured by the military because I had to be on at least 30 days of active duty service. I received a bill in the mail for a large sum of money! It is unbelievable to think that not all of America's soldiers are insured by the military. We risk our lives for this country, but not all of us have basic healthcare insurance! Some of your fellow soldiers can get into an traumatic accident and then have to pay the cost - WHILE ON ACTIVE DUTY ORDERS. All soldiers should have basic healthcare insurance unconditionally - at least while performing their required duty to this country!
