Many States still have anti-equality legislation. It is being struck down slowly but surely. Many of those and other States are now trying to ratify legislation which would put actual prejudice into law under the guise of protecting religious freedom.
Someone's beliefs should not trump a human being's genuine right to full equality, support and respect.
Have we learnt nothing from previous fights for minorities? Are we not to be a better example than countries such as Uganda?
It is high time to make this Federal, countrywide and put an end to all of this prejudice. To be a UNITED States in more than name.
