Individuals with federal felonies and misdemeanors that have completed their sentence should be given the right to clear or expunge their sentences. There are thousands of individuals who live with the stigma of their conviction long after the conviction occurred= lifelong sentence. There are people with federal sentences that have returned to school receiving higher education, victims of crimes that led them to do crimes, or have changed for the better who cannot receive employment..this creates recidivism. There are people that have state records that are expunged for worse crimes that are able to get their records expunged and this opportunity should be available to those on a federal level. The current pardon process is out of date. The president has other pressing matters to tend to
