Following the tragic incident happened in University of Southern California on April 11, where two Chinese graduate students (non resident alien status) were fatally shot and killed in their vehicle, we feel there is a strong urge to let the Obama administration know that non resident aliens should be treated equally as U.S. citizens on firearm purchases. Currently most state laws require non resident alien to hold hunting permits before purchasing any firearms, and the purchase has been limited to hunting rifles. We would like the government to remove the limitations on firearm purchase for non resident aliens, so that we can be better prepared for self defense if we have to.
