GIVE UP ONE TAXPAYER FUNDED HAWAII VACATION IN EXCHANGE FOR KEEPING THE WHITE HOUSE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

Created by A.N. on March 07, 2013

Every year the Obama family goes to Hawaii for their Christmas vacation. This comes at a cost to the taxpayers of $4-7million per vacation. This comes at a time when MANY American families have to cut vacation budgets in order to make ends meet.

Because of the sequestration, the administration has announced that it will suspend White House tours until further notice. The cost of keeping the tours free is approximately $18,000 a week or $936,000 a year, far less than one Obama family vacation. Mr. President, are you willing to sacrifice one vacation in exchange for keeping the White House open to the public?

Also, Secretary Kerry just authorized $250million in aid to Egypt. How is it that the administration has this much money for Egypt but cannot afford to keep the White House open?
