Give organ donors a tax write off on their income tax for pledging their organs.

Created by M.G. on December 25, 2012

There has never been an adequate supply of vital organs to match the demand for transplants to save the lives of those in need. People on those patient lists wait for days, months, and even years sometimes and some die everyday waiting for an organ for their special need to become available. Patients and family members just waiting for that phone call that will change their lives, and those of their loved ones telling them "We have It"

We feel a greater incentive for increasing the donor participation in the Organ Donor Program could be found in the Federal Income Tax Code if a tax write-off was given to each and every organ donor.
