Give people at least 3 hours off (holiday pay) on election days, to insure all people are able to vote.

Created by J.S. on March 08, 2012

All people should be able to vote in our country. Yet, during Election Day not nearly enough people vote for their liberties. Most industrialized countries have an entire day off during Election Day. Yet, we treat this day as any other. For most people they can not take time off to vote during the day so they are forced to vote either in the early morning hours, or at the end of the day facing huge lines potently driving voters away from their liberty. A national holiday would be glamour for all people, but reality shorts this dream. What I purpose is that we install a 3 hour holiday pay system for that day. In which people can vote at any time during business hours, and be paid to do so. We need everyone at the polls not just the few whose hours work with that schedule.
