Without election reform, the power of big money will continue to dominate political decisions. We bailed out banks, not most homeowners, yet both are vital to a thriving economy. All people are not treated equally. This problem unites citizens from across the political spectrum.
This act, crafted by former Federal Election Commission chairman,Trevor Potter, is one approach to solving the problem. It would increase finance transparency, limit the power of lobbyists and PACS by freeing politicians from dependency on their donations, regulate the revolving door between business and government, end secret money, give stronger support to current laws and award a tax rebate of $100 to all voters to donate to the politician of his or her choice.
Let's take back our democracy
