Jesse Lewis, age 6, was at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown and saw his teacher get shot by a crazed gunman, Adam Lanza. His classmates were holding hands in a corner of the classroom trying to hide.
When Adam Lanza's gun jammed, Jesse yelled one last word to his terrified classmates: “Run!”
That selfless act allowed six children to run to safety past the shooter. Little Jesse was not so fortunate — Lanza reloaded and shot Jesse in the head.
