With a population slightly smaller than that of Oklahoma's, Puerto Rico would rank 29th in state population if given statehood. Currently, the people of the commonwealth are granted U.S. citizenship, participate in the U.S. military and even pay most U.S. taxes, but are not allowed to vote for the president, and have very little congressional representation. Wasn't "Taxation Without Representation" the exact cause of the American Revolution? Give these 4 million Americans the privileges they deserve.
