Although this issue has been discussed in many forums and the Congress have made it clear that there is no intention on helping Puerto Rico in this matter, as an individual with family in the island, I reach out to the Congress as an effort to appeal, in a personal level, to the heart of the decision making government officials. I am making this petition for the millions of puertorricans still living in the island and around the world who worry day after day what is going to happen tomorrow, where everything is going to end. Please, I am asking for you to let Puerto Rico to restructure the debt as any other place in the world. Please, help Puerto Rico to rise again. Please, help Puerto Rico be "La Isla del Encanto" again.
