As popular as the We the People website has been (some petitions have over 20,000 signatures after two days), it is generally assumed by most that the responses received will generally be an attempt to avoid truly answering whether or not the Obama administration will or will not support the subject matter of a reviewed petition.
Instead, we expect that petitions will receive some long-winded response that serves to avoid the simple yes/no answer that many of the petitions are seeking, and still manages to paint the administration's actions in the best possible light.
We find that any answer that does not begin with the equivalent of a simple yes or no indication of the Administrations intent to support a petition in it's official response completely invalidates the spirit of this site.
