Give reparations to the African American community for slave labor and persecution.

The Africans that were enslaved at the hands of the United States of America have never received reparations for slavery. Many different ethnicities have been compensated for the atrocities committed against them, yet the African American community has never received any compensation for as long as we have been in this country. Native Americans have received compensation. In fact, thousands of American Indians are now in line to receive part of a $3.4 billion settlement with the federal government. Also , Germany has paid — primarily to Jewish survivors — some $89 billion in compensation overall for Nazi crimes. I believe that it is the U.S governments duty to repay the debt they owe to African Americans for slave labor, and persecution of Africans during the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade.
