Currently, the Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, and the Northern Mariana Islands are home to over 4 million American citizens, but these citizens are not allowed to vote in presidential elections. American Samoa is home to 55,000 Americans, but these people are not even considered citizens.
This country needs to updated voting laws that recognize the rights of these Americans to have a voice in their government.
