Give schools the choice on whether or not to uphold common core standards

The common core standards have come under heavy fire and controversy since their inception into educational law. The attempts to standardize education were a mess, and we should now just see the common core standards as guidelines rather than requirements. Thus, schools should be able to choose whether or not to follow common core.
