Give the Senate's Sergeant at Arms a ceremonial mace for the sake of fairness between the upper and lower houses.

Our nation's rich history and the pomp and pageantry of it's traditions and symbols are awesome. That's one thing most Americans can agree on regardless of their political alignments. The popularity of The West Wing indicates as much. Anyway, in the interest of fairness between the upper and lower houses, I suggest the Senate get it's own ceremonial mace instead of a sissy plebeian gavel. It need not be a particularly expensive or fancy one like the House's. Perhaps symbolizing our modern age of communication it could be made of plexiglass and be wifi equipped. I am not petitioning on behalf of any organization, except maybe Millennials like myself as well as current students who have an interest in civics and the privilege of an Inspiring class trip to DC to witness congress in person
