As a single mother, it is very difficult to even consider going back to school when I am struggling to support my family in this horrible economy. I would love to earn a degree in Culinary Arts but it is just too expensive. The Federal Pell Grant doesn't even cover HALF of the tuition. I feel that single mothers should be given a grant to cover the remainder of what a Pell Grant does not, plus a little extra to assist with child care and travel expenses.
