If the president does not know what a brony is, it is someone who is a fan of the show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic who is outside of the target demographic of little girls.
Bronies have to deal with hate and intolerance almost daily from those who still have archaic ideas on how a gender has to act. They all have the idea that men can't enjoy a show that has great ideals just because it has ponies and other things that are considered "girly".
A common insult against bronies, is being called gay, when majority are actually heterosexual. This insult insults both gays and bronies, and should be addressed to the nation, as being something hateful to both groups.
In some cases, brony haters even make death threats.
