I am currently enrolled in a high school as a junior. I am taking precalculus with senoirs. I want to take AP Calculus AB next year but my chairperson will not allow me to because she said I have to be enrolled in the advanced precalculus class with junior. So I told her that I will take the full course of AP Calculus AB over the summer. She still said no and said there is a district policy that you must be in the advanced class of precalculus. I told my guidance counsoler and call the district. She said there is no such thing. The chairperson only promotes her favorites. A few years back when I was in 8th grade a similar problem had occurred. I wantes to take algebra 1 over the summer so I could be in advanced.
