Give tax breaks to families who are taxed & send their children to private schools (k-12) due to poor public schools.

Created by M.S. on October 27, 2011

There should be tax relief for those who pay school tax but send children to private schools (grades k-12).

I don't send my children to public schools because of the lack of structure and focus in those systems. However, I am forced to pay taxes to support these often time substandard schools. I should be afforded some sort of tax releif for the tuition I pay in an effor to support and mold a better citizen.

Corporations are given tax breaks for "donating" unwanted supplies, people are given tax breaks for replacing old doors/windows on homes, tobacco companies are given breaks for donations to cancer foundations (even though their products cause the cancer), shouldn't parents give given the same courtesies when trying to better educate the future leaders of this great country?
