Gun free zones have proven time and again that criminals do not follow laws and disarming the innocent only creates flocks of defenseless sheep for wolves to devour. If we permit teachers to conceal carry on school grounds incidents like what happened in Conn. would not have the devastating effects they currently carry.
Perhaps it could be regulated by requiring CCW holders who are teachers, to undergo a training course (at their own expense as to not create another tax.) on how to handle stressful and crowded situations along with passing a marksmanship course before carrying on school grounds.
I personally would feel better sending my child to school known they are protected. If I can't trust a teacher with a gun, how can I trust them with my child?
