Religion plays an important part in our society, and enjoys tax free status when it comes to purchases, land, housing, pay, etc... Well teachers, police officers, firemen/firewomen, and the US military play an equally, if not more, part of our daily lives. I believe that we should open up a discussion and look towards giving the public servants the same benefits as religion….tax free status. This will not only show these men and women how much of a value they are to every woman, man, and child in the United States, but will create jobs by opening doors to professions that people might have looked past, and give the economy a much needed consistent buying/spending power. It is a win-win for everyone.
