I believe that congress should take a major pay cut as most Americans have had to do in recent times. It was either take pay cut or lose job completely. If congress would take pay cut, the gov't would not have to cut the medicare/medicaid or social security programs that most of us need to get by on a regular basis. If they refuse, then they themselves should lose there jobs along with all the benefits of said job.
