Godly government would mean, among other things, that there would be no government health, education or welfare programs. It is the role of private persons (most often Christians, Christian organizations) to provide such help as they did for most of our history.
God's purpose for government is to be a peril to evil-doers and a rewarder of those who obey His Laws. Governments all across our country are going bankrupt and/or trillions of $$$$ in debt because they are Godless.
"Separation of church and State?" YES! But, never God must never be separated from government or you get what we have now --- Godless government which is evil, bad government.
