Even a poor reading of US history, from the Revolution through the Civil War all the way to modern history, shows that American values - the underlying meaning that binds us together and defines us as a people - oppose the creation of a moneyed, dynastic class of rulers. The recent actions by our Government, through the Citizens United decision to the recent increase in the ceiling for campaign contributions to the continued elections of political families like the Clintons and Bushes point to our government repeating the mistakes that forced our ancestors to leave their original homes.
Such decisions ensure the wealth divide and the establishment of a US plutocracy. We the people oppose, believing all men are created equal. End the money and the familial inheritance in American politics.
