I'm a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I don't see any good coming from a drug first approach in out veterans health care. The heart of the problems I have seen have to do with the way a person processes thoughts, not how chemicals react in the brain. The guessing game of psychiatry is not going to help anyone recover, and live a better life. I was first given psychiatric drugs in 2005 in Iraq, and was on them until late 2012. The side effects of these powerful drugs reeked havoc on my life, and on the lives of those around me. Drug dependency is not what our warriors need to be learning. Taking off the mask and dealing with the underlying problem is the only real solution. The mask is drugs, and the problem is of the spirit. A healthy spirit leads to a healthy life. Sober Vets!!!!!!!!
