Give young Americans a second chance by creating more hope and opportunities to those that are first time offenders (non violent) and have served time and or probation (including deferred adjudication) after a certain amount of years of "good behavior" and or the completion of higher education.
Currently even those who complete their sentences, stay out of trouble and finish college, may still face the following restrictions:
Cannot join the military under any circumstance
Cannot get certain jobs
Cannot attend certain colleges
Cannot live in certain apartment complexes
A revision of current laws would give young adults (17-22) more hope and motivation to excel in life versus currently, where obtaining a college degree may do nothing because their mistakes from yrs prior limit choices.
