I urge and challenge the current administration to allow citizens to opt out of Social Security. Here are two reasons as to why I believe this:
1 - Forcing citizens to pay into a broken system is morally obtuse. Citizens have the right to their property and how they choose to invest their money is their business; let us decide for ourselves.
2 - Religious leaders and government employees, (teachers, fireman, as well as the IRS itself) are allowed to opt out or choose to invest in programs other than the government mandated Social Security and non-government programs have far greater return rate. Why should these groups be the only exception? I request that I am given the same chance to choose how to invest my money, indiscriminately of my race, gender, creed, employer or my religion.
