giving rights back to felons to carry firearms once felony is 10 years old or older

I believe that all people deserve the right to keep and bear arms. just because someone has made a mistake and became a felon does not mean that they deserve to be banned from exercising that right for lifetime. my petition is to ask Congress and the president make it to where after 10 years of being felon free we may have our rights back to keep and bear arms just like the rest of the people in this great United States. the Constitution gives us rights the government should not take them away for a lifetime
especially when there is a change that has been shown in that person by becoming a law abiding citizen after the mistake they had made. we must fight for our rights and I challenge you all to please fight with me for what is fair.
