The switch from standard time (ST) to DST in the spring and back to ST in the fall is dangerous and unnecessary. Studies have shown that the loss of sleep in the spring increases motor vehicle accidents the following Monday and the sudden darkness in the fall increases accidents on the evening commute. Americans are tired of switching back and forth (and trying to remember whether we're in ST or DST when communicating with others) and we don't need any more car accidents! Please let us keep our extra evening hour of sunlight year round, and get rid of the annoyance of changing our clocks!
