The government (at every level) should practice what they preach, in regards to "going green". If the government were to implement residential and/or commercial applications for hydro and wind energy systems, they would not only GREATLY reduce energy costs (= funds/budget spent on energy), but also generate revenue from the surplus of energy produced. The funds from the surplus of generated energy could go towards paying off the nation's debt, foremost, or any other governmental program.
