go over the fiscal cliff.

Created by L.S. on December 20, 2012

Going over the cliff will result in our national debt going down by $6 trillion over the next 10 years. Nothing currently being offered comes close to that. It restores the tax rates to a time when Americans were very successful while cutting spending on unnecessary programs. Additionally, going over the cliff will not result in any cuts to the most critical social programs such as Social Security and Medicare. Americans also realize that everyone is going to have to pay a little more in taxes, not just the rich, because it will help America in the long run. Right now financial markets are uncertain because they don't know what is going to happen. But if we go over the cliff, then the markets will become stable again because they will understand what is happening and know how to handle it
