Good Time Bill. Allow federal prisoners to earn good time to reduce their sentence. This will save billions of dollars.

Created by B.H. on February 18, 2013

This is to request that you support the Good Time Bill, which will increase time off for good behavior for federal inmates who are not in for life sentences.  By supporting and ultimately passing this bill, the government would save more than one billion dollars, annually, in the costs of housing and caring for these prisoners.  The United States tops all countries in the world for the number of prisoners housed.  Other methods of supervision, which are more cost effective, could be instituted, and parole could be extended.  This would also add to the tax base, as these prisoners would hopefully be gainfully employed.
