Currently the FDA has issued a ban on pharmacies to fill prescriptions prescribed for a patient that receives care from a physician that is further than 25 miles from the patient's residence. The patient can not fill their prescriptions in the area of the practicing physician due to the patients address, and can not fill near their residence due to the physicians address. Also, with these bans in place, some pharmacies that are able to fill the prescribed medications, are doing so at an astronomical pricing rate affecting many of us who do not have health care. This is a serious problem for those of us who see a physician that is practicing a specialty. It also takes away our right to choose the physician and pharmacy that we use. The FDA should also govern the pricing of medications.
