There should be a governing board for journalism. Journalist should have to be licensed. In order to maintain their license they should have to adhere to a code of ethics, rules and regulations. In the event a journalist writes or broadcast a false, defamatory story, their license should be suspended or revoked. Journalism carries a lot of power in shaping how society views people, governments, and the world. This is not an attempt to infringe on free speech, but to ensure their conduct is ethical and factual.
