Governing the speed limit mechanically of all vehicles in the United States to save lives.

Created by B.S. on January 24, 2013

In 2012, the number of motor vehicles in the US was 62 million. The number of guns in the US was 350 million. The number of motor vehicle deaths in the US was 36,310. The number of deaths caused by firearms in the US was 31,236, 2/3 of this number were suicides. (these #'s are approximate). I propose mechanically governing all motor vehicles (killing machines) in the US at 70 mph. The maximum legal speed limit in the US is above 70 mph. No killing machine should have the potential to exceed that speed limit. The point is that there are more guns in this country than there are vehicles and fatality rates occur more with vehicles than guns. If the gov. is going to take away our right to bear arms, then the Gov.. needs to govern the potential speed of a vehicle. Since driving is a privilege.
