Government Accountability United States Government: You can't have it both ways! Explain why you think you can!

Created by S.M. on February 06, 2015

Whether you are for or against the legalization of Marijuana/Cannabis in this country, for medical and or recreational use, you need to sign this petition. On August 14, 1970, the Assistant Secretary of Health, Dr. Roger O. Egeberg wrote a letter recommending the plant, marijuana, be classified as a schedule 1 substance, and it has remained that way for almost 45 years. In October of 2003, the US Government was granted US Patent 6630507 titled “Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants” as represented by the Department of Health and Human Services. We also challenge the legality of United States Patent 6630507 as defined by 35 U.S.C. §102(b) entitled "Conditions for Patentability". With respect, we demand that the US Government take action and answer to this contradiction in terms.
