Is government consider setting Spring Festival a National holiday? When specifically can it be officially discussed?

Asian back ground American residents increases dramatically during the past 10 years. Especially in large cities. There are different kind of celebrating events everyone year in places like China Town. However, since Spring Festival is not yet a national holiday, it has been great inconvenience for people who appreciate such chance to celebrate the festival with their family. Many of them have to keep working as they do every day.

United States as a multicultural country needs to consider the fact of different cultures' needs. For Asian back ground people, it is their Christmas.

Government need to consider giving Spring Festival a more official recognition by taking actions towards make it an public holiday.
