Lets start by making lobbying illegal. All elected officials should not be able to receive gifts, campaign donations, bribes or any other form of monetary gifts.
Instead lets give media outlets tax breaks in exchange for free, equal advertising for candidates. This way money, and fundraising is no longer a factor. Elected officials would no longer have to pander to big money business. Instead they would have a fair, balanced way of getting their message across. I wholeheartedly believe this could eliminate massive amounts of corruption, restore the people's faith in our own government. Perhaps it would even motivate some good hearted, intelligent people to run for office and not just those who simply want to take advantage of the system to get rich and be lazy.
