The lives of politicians are no more valuable than those of civilians. There is no reason why our representatives should be able to protect themselves better than civilians, because we live in the same world that you do.
I propose that along with any new gun legislation that any exceptions for the armed guards of politicians be removed and any security measure a politician takes that involves any weapon a civilian cannot legally own that the politician is punished in the same way any civilian would be.
