Government should act to stop indiscriminate killing of wolves in Wyoming.

Created by J.M. on January 04, 2013

The restoration of wolves in Wyoming has been considered one of the great successes of the Endangered Species Act. The return of the wolves should be a source of great pride for Wyoming and, in fact, America.

However, currently there is a free for all on the lives of these creatures. Wyoming's wolf management plan allows for the indiscriminate killing of wolves outside the greater Yellowstone area, for any or no reason. Shot, gassed or trapped--doesn't matter; what was once seen as an important species is now considered a pest.

Wolves are naturally predatory, but rather than come up with a plan to minimize livestock attrition, the answer is to kill the wolves. We need this to stop. Currently there are petitions being sent to Gov. Mead, but let's get Congress to act.
