Government Surveillance of The General Public Needs to be Addressed

This petition is important because governmental surveillance of the general public is becoming an overarching and overbearing burden. This surveillance is invading the rights of the citizens of The United States of America. It is no secret that surveillance is in place for safety and security purposes. However, I believe that it makes Americans feel untrusting of their government because it makes it seem as if the government does not trust their citizens. We must be able to live our lives without the fear that we are being watched and observed. Surveillance is made to encompass a feeling of safety but is becoming continually more intrusive upon American Society as we progress through time.
