Government take adequate measures to ensure public safety in Tornado prone areas, ensure stricter construction codes..

Building codes in Tornado prone areas needs to be strengthened. Codes ensure sufficient strength to withstand a medium size tornado. Codes should ensure that underground bunkers/enclosures are part of newly constructed homes. Those enclosures be below ground, made of concrete and they withstand EF-5 tornadoes. Government should provide grants to existing houses in highly tornado prone areas for constructing underground bunkers. Government regulate and oversee Tornado Shelter construction is adequate and strong to withstand EF-5 Tornadoes in public buildings like hospitals, schools and offices. Government regulate family house construction practices and codes that construct low strength houses with poor materials. We request for Government form a high power committee to look into this.
