In order to save money in Flint, Michigan, Governor Rick Snyder had his emergency managers switch Flint's water supply from Detroit lake water to river watch from the Flint River. He did so without anti-corrosion treatment that is required prior to the water switch. The pipes of Flint are now corroded and leaching lead into the water. Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha discussed the rising lead levels with Rachel Maddow and Mayor Karen Weaver declared a state of emergency. The children and families of Flint must be protected and water from Detroit will not help due to corroded pipes in Flint! Relocate these families at once!
