Governors right to make appointments

Created by M.L. on December 06, 2012

Introduce an amendment to the United States constitution denying state governors the authority to appoint United States senators or members to the United States House Representatives.. It is suggested that in the event an elected official resigns or dies in office a member of the opposing party be removed until special election can be held. For example if a democrat or republican should resign or die a member of the opposing party be removed, or if an independent should for some reason leave office both a republican and a democrat be removed.
